I know. I’m so excited! Or should I say: Iche freue mich so!
This will be my first work translated into a foreign language and it seems, somehow, fitting that it be German since I did live there for four years when my dad was stationed at CFB Lahr.
I signed a contract this morning with Me and the Muse publishing and have a tentative release date of August 2016.
I’ll be sure to post updates as I receive any news!
Also worthy of note, I have wheels once again. FINALLY.
My husband & I were hit at the beginning of the year and our car was written off completely. Thankfully (and I keep chanelling Kathy Bates in Fried Green Tomatoes here: “Face it girls, I’m older and I have more insurance“) our insurance has been nothing but fantastic with regard to replacement value and everything that goes hand in hand with the entire process. Unfortunately, our car is no longer available in the colour we love so much. And apparently everyone and their dog wants to get their hands on the 2016 Honda Fit EX in Milano Red (the only other colour available to us in Canada that had any appeal) so that–combined with some random fuckery (did you know people steel alloy-rimmed tires off cars still in transit to the dealership? Yeah, me neither. Apparently it’s a thing.)–meant a ridiculous wait for our new purchase.
In any event, after a looooooooooong four months (thankfully we live in downtown Toronto and have a Zipcar membership, so we managed) we are now, once again, avec la voiture.
I give you: Cherry Bomb.
Isn’t she gorgeous?
Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t pay tribute to her namesake. I give you Lita, Joan & the Runaways ♥
